An old school friend taught me a valuable lesson when we were about 16, and that was that Sales are for buying the things you normally couldn't afford from places you can't shop in everyday and not for buying loads of cheap stuff from places you normally shop at. Although we aren't acquainted any more I still stick to this advice avidly!
It also seeps in to my everyday shopping habits, as previously mentioned HERE I like to save my money for the quality purchases rather than impulse on quantitative ones.
And so behold! The January sales mean I can afford 3 pairs of good quality shoes this season instead of 1!
